Most people are concerned with what they eat. 
Millions starve themselves risking further health issues just to fit in a pair of jeans or a society which caters to a thin self image.
Studies are released everyday about adverse side effects to foods, diet pills and chemicals used to enhance their shelf life that cause problems in some cases even death.
It’s hard to know if what we are putting in our system is truly healthy unless we grow it ourselves.
To know if what we are eating is eating us. 
Since the physical body requires daily substance to keep it strong natural meals are planned ahead of time. But many neglect the most important diet of their lives; their spiritual intake which governs both the body and the soul. 
Jesus said to ask the Father for our daily bread; He is the Bread of Heaven; He is the Living Word.
If we include our daily spiritual bread it will cause things that have been held up (blessings) to be released, things that we speak to with authority to obey.

In the physical world it is hard to find the time to really dig into the word of God; cares of the world seem to tumble in front of us demanding attention.
Eating (mediating) on the scriptures without interruption is like scraping down a fast food sandwich on the way to work.
It might fill the spot at the moment but if not properly ingested the body physically and spiritually will respond by still being famished just a little while later.
